Jordan- Royal Hashemite Court issues statement

Amman, Dec. 30 (Petra) -- The Royal Hashemite Court (RHC) on Saturday said: "some websites and social media outlets have published rumors and fabricated news based on lies about their Royal Highnesses Princes Faisal bin al-Hussein, Ali bin al-Hussein and Talal bin Muhammad."

A RHC statement added that It will pursue legal action against those who spread lies and false allegations against the princes and the Hashemite family. It said the recent publication of false news aims to harm Jordan and its institutions.

The statement underlined that "such lies will not mislead our loyal people, nor will they affect national unity, and the strong and solid relationship between the Jordanian people and the Hashemite family."

His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, had sent letters of thanks and appreciation to the princes after their retirement from the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army.
