Google remove YouTube app from Amazon Fire TV devices ahead of time
(MENAFN) While a clash amid Amazon and Google is yet to cease, the YouTube app has been removed from Amazon's Fire TV devices ahead of the date it was predicted in four days.
As an alternative, users are advised by Fire TV devices to open the YouTube website via web browser.
The YouTube app has previously been notified by Google that it is to be removed from Fire TV devices on January 1st as it announced the two companies two have reached a dead end about providing access to the other's services.
In a statement released Friday, Amazon declared "YouTube and millions of other websites are accessible by using a web browser like Firefox or Silk on Fire TV."
