Japan offers USD 170 mln aid to Jordan
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Dec 30 (KUNA) -- Japan has provided Jordan with the second tranche of a loan worth USD 170 million in a bid to bring financial stability to the Hashemite Kingdom, a Jordanian minister said on Saturday.
Jordan's Minister of Planning Imad Al-Fakhouri told reporters that Amman received the first payment of the USD 230 million loan last year, saying that Japanese aid has been instrumental to his country's continued development.
Through grants and loans, Japanese aid worth USD 1.3 billion has poured into Jordan in the last two decades. (end) ab.nam
