(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MARDAN, 29 December: Police has arrested 12 eunuchs on charges on pelting stones at police station.
The City police station officials said that they received complaints from people that some eunuchs have been playing loud music in Wazirabad area on which a police party raided the site and arrested the eunuchs and their guru Ikram.
'The move irked the eunuchs and they started pelting stones on the police station,' said one official and added that police arrested all the 12 eunuchs.
Meanwhile, general secretary of the district association of transgender people, Alisha while talking to TNN rejected the allegation and said that police officials had been harassing them since long.
She added that the transgender people were celebrating the engagement of one of their colleagues and slowly playing music but the police raided their program and arrested some of their colleagues.
