
Pakistan- Khyber Agency retains overall trophy of 3rd FATA Youth Festival
Khyber Agency was followed by Mohmand Agency with 79 points and Bajaur Agency with 54 points.
State Minister, Safron, Ghalib Khan and Member National Assembly from Khyber Agency Nasir Khan Afridi were guests of honor at the concluding ceremony. They gave away prizes and trophies to the winning teams and players.
More than 3000 players from all the seven tribal agencies and six Frontier Regions participated in the festival, which continued for five days. Players from the tribal districts competed in 25 different games including volleyball, football, judo, cricket, badminton, baseball, table tennis, karate, tug-of-war, hockey, athletics, weightlifting, taekwondo, wushu, bodybuilding, netball, boxing, archery etc.
Apart from male, female players also participated in the festival and took part in five games including tug-of-war, athletics, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. The first four games were won by Mohmand agency while Khyber Agency clinched the last competition.
It is worth mentioning here that both the previous two editions of the Fata Youth Festival were won by the Khyber Agency.
