(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has voiced gratitude to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for warm welcome and hospitality he received during a recent visit to the Kingdom, accompanied by a host of Kuwait's ruling family members.
In statements to KUNA Friday, Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad also thanked Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mohammad Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his generous invitation to visit the Kingdom, which "embodied the distinctive ties between the two sisterly countries and their brotherly people, as well as reflecting sincere brotherly sentiments." He said that he had conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the Saudi monarch, as well as their wishes for perpetual progress and prosperity for the Kingdom.
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense said that his visit to Saudi Arabia was a part of the extended consultations between the two countries, and the efforts to support their well-established historical relations, whose bases were laid down by King Salman and His Highness the Amir.
Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad said that he and the Saudi Crown Prince had discussed a host of developmental and military issues of common concern to both countries, besides the "Saudi Vision 2030" and His Highness the Amir's "Kuwait Vision 2035." He added that he had invited Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to visit Kuwait for further discussions on the two pioneer visions.
Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad and the accompanying delegation returned home earlier today after the Riyadh visit whose agenda comprised bilateral ties in all fields, and regional developments. (end) tb.msa
