Kuwaiti team coach says he is satisfied with performance

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 28 (KUNA) -- Coach of the Kuwaiti soccer team, Boris Bunjak, on Thursday expressed satisfaction at the team's performance in the match with the UAE affirming that the players' non-participation in external games for two years took its toll on their preparedness.

Speaking at an impromptu news conference, following the goalless match between the Kuwaiti and the UAE teams, held as part of the 23rd Arab Gulf soccer competitions, Bunjak indicated that the national team as well the other participating ones lacked skilled strikers.

"I have put on the pitch the most prepared players," he said.

The "blue" (as it is dubbed in Arabic) holds a single point in Group A, led by Oman, six, followed by the UAE, five and then the Saudis, four. (end) kns.rk
