Waste bags on Kuwait Airport checked

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: The Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of the Interior responded to a video clip that went viral on social media which shows workers of a cleaning company at Kuwait International Airport placing waste bags inside an inspection device, reports Annahar daily.

The department clarified that the inspection device is prepared for the inspection of waste, and is used by the security management of the airport to inspect waste collected from the transit area, restricted areas and some airport facilities before they leave the area to ensure no illicit materials are being smuggled.

This process is subject to constant supervision by the concerned authorities at the airport. However, there are other special inspection devices allocated for passengers. The department insisted that its doors are open to receive any queries or questions about security measures.
