Weekend weather: Foggy days ahead in UAE, humidity to rise


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Thick fog took over Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates causing extremely low visibility on the roads.

A KT reader shared a video of thick fog taking over Ras Al Khaimah on Thursday morning.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) warns about fog and low horizontal visibility of less than 500 meters, mostly in the northern and western areas.

Motorists need to be extra cautious as the visibility is less on some roads. Khaleej Times reported about poor visibility on Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi roads during the early hours today. The weather department shared video of Sharjah covered in fog.

Providing the weather forecast for the whole week, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported that the night will humid during the night and early morning over internal and coastal areas. Fog/mist could take over during the early morning hours.The day is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, hazy in general.

(@NCMS_media) The National Centre of Meteorology has predicted a humid weather from Friday to Tuesday.NCM also said that humid weather will continue from Friday till Tuesday, at night and early morning, with a chance of fog and mist formation over scattered areas, concentrated over internal and western areas of the country on Friday and Saturday. It added that the sea will stay slight to moderate in Arabian Gulf and Oman sea during that period.
