Following successful tours of England, UAE, Sri Lanka and Australia, Stallions Cricket Academy - Qatar embarked on its very first tour to Oman. The tour started on Saturday and the team will return to Doha today.
Stallions played 12 matches with leading schools and academies in Oman.
The tour was sponsored by one of the leading IT companies in Doha 'Infoventures and Al Riya Water Company.
The tour party consisted of more than 30 individuals including players of Stallions Under 15 and Under 12 teams, coaches and parents.
The teams included experienced players who have been training with Stallions for past few years. During the tour the teams were managed by qualified and experienced coaches Ashan Perera and Nilantha Abeyrathna.
Commenting on the tour, Sidath Tennakoon, the Head Coach of Stallions said, 'This tour will provide our players an opportunity to out skill their performances in an international competitive environment.
'The confidence level of the players boosts immensely as they experience other playing conditions in the region. Whilst our tours provide a lifelong experience for our players it's also a great opportunity for us to carry Qatar's name to the international cricketing circle.

The academy in Qatar was launched with the purpose of developing cricket in the country and has already produced many players (both girls and boys) and some of them have eventually made it to the Qatar national cricket teams.
