(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H E Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, chairman of the State Council, received on Tuesday the parliamentarians, experts, and intellectuals from the Arab countries who participated in the regional forum of parliamentarians in the field of science and diplomacy.
The forum was hosted by the sultanate and organised by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO), stated a press release. At the beginning of the meeting, the State Council chairman welcomed the guests and commended the work of the forum.
He hoped that it would achieve its objectives, foremost of which would be to promote the role of parliamentarians in science, diplomacy, strengthen regional cooperation and build bridges. H E Dr Mantheri highlighted the important role played by ISESCO in caring for Islamic culture and strengthening cooperation among member states in the educational, scientific and cultural fields, pursuing the development of applied science and building a sustainable system of scientific development.
