(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec. 26 (Petra)- The Arab Consumers Union on Tuesday praised His Majesty King Abdullah II's tremendous efforts to defend Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause, due to his world influence, a fact that triggered the overwhelming backing of the UN bill to reject the U.S. decision to relocate Washington's embassy to the holy city.
The Union's members view the King's diverse stances at the global arenas as genuine to endorse the UN's Jerusalem step, said Chairman of the Arab Consumers Union Mohammad Obeidat.
He also highlighted the key role of the Hashemite custodianship to protect Jerusalem's holy sites.
