Israel arrests 23 Palestinians in West Bank
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- Israeli forces have detained 23 Palestinians across the West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said on Tuesday.
Eight Palestinians were arrested in Bethlehem while 10 others were apprehended in Jerusalem and five were detained in Tulkram, read a statement by the club.
Tuesday's arrests has upped the total number of Palestinians to have been detained since US President Donald Trump acknowledged Jerusalem as the capital of Israel to 610, the statement added.
Israeli forces have intensified its mass arrests of Palestinians since Trump's decision over Jerusalem, which triggered an uproar across the greater Arab region. (end) nk.nam
