(MENAFN) South Korean leading chemical company, LG Chem Ltd. has declared investing 300b won for the expansion of a plant in the country.
Scheduled to be completed by the first half of 2019 in Yeosu, the expansion will enhance the annual production aptitude of crude acrylic acid and super absorbent polymer to 700,000 and 500,000 tons, respectively.
CAA is used in paint and adhesives, while SAP is used as a raw material in diapers.
