PKK kills two soldiers in SE Turkey

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Dec 25 (KUNA) -- Two Turkish soldiers were killed in an attack by PKK militants in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari, the military said Monday.

The attack took place when a group of Turkish soldiers was carrying out an ongoing counterterrorism operation in Semdinli district, during which another soldier was wounded, the army said in a press release.

However, the military defied that it would "continue its fight against all terror organizations until the last terrorist is killed".

Listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the EU, the PKK resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015. (end) ta.mt
