Qatar- Awareness drive to prepare students for semester exams

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has launched an awareness campaign to prepare students for the first semester exams for the academic year 2017/2018, which begin on January 3, 2018.

Launched on its various social networking accounts and as the first semester exams draw near, the campaign is part of continuous communication with students and parents, the Ministry of Education said in a press release. The Ministry, in cooperation with the Mental Health Friends Association (Weyak), has started sending awareness messages and videos that urge students to do their best and prepare well for the tests, it added.

Government schools have also launched awareness campaigns to educate students and parents on the importance of tests, urge them to make more efforts to prepare for the tests and review the lessons, while Weyak published awareness films in cooperation with a number of prominent educational figures.

The Ministry of Education has also updated the video lesson on its YouTube account to add a series of new lessons in various subjects of all levels, explained by school teachers and prepared under the supervision and review of specialists and experts from the Ministry.

Statistics showed that the number of those who viewed the YouTube lessons reached 1.7 million, with more than 12000 subscribers. The Ministry called on students to benefit from this educational service, pointing out that the statistics revealed that along Qatar students others in Arab countries benefited from it.
