KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Director of General Hygiene and Road Works in Capital Municipality Eng. Meshal Al-Azmi has affirmed that campaigns will be held round the clock in all governorates in order to curb violations such as vehicles neglected on road pavements and public areas with the aim of clearing the public areas, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

He explained that the campaigns launched in November resulted in the removal of 312 abandoned and scrap cars, sticking of 4,149 warning stickers on violating vehicles, issuance of 920 undertakings and 780 warnings and lifting of about 6,148 cubic meters of garbage and construction waste.

The total fees collected in November amounted to KD 57 million including fines for violations and insurance fees. In Farwaniya Governorate, 95 citations were issued in the month of November for violations such as non-renewal of licenses, not placing the licenses in proper places, and conducting operations before obtaining municipal licenses
