Saudi- SFDA Warns About BAKEMATE Corn Flour for Violating Gluten Standard

Riyadh, Rabi'II 6, 1439, Dec 24, 2017, SPA -- The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) warned consumers who are allergic to gluten to consume "BAKEMATE" corn flour product as it exceeded the gluten limit in the Gulf Standard No. (1021/2012 Gluten Free Foods), that is contrary to what is declared on the label of the product.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), SDFA clarified that this product is made in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
SFDA pointed out that it is taking the necessary action toward this product in coordination with the related authorities to withdraw this product from the local market.
