Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development, a joint initiative of Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Silatech, participated for the first time at Darb Al Saai festivities with 'Dukan Bedaya.
The celebrations at Darb Al Saai was part of the many events taking place across the country in connection with the Qatar National Day.
'Dukan Bedaya incubated more than 20 local startup projects from diverse sectors who were participating in the event with their products that were related to the National Day celebrations.
The participation of these startups were supposed to support the local products, and to promote them to the end users.
In addition to this, the Bedaya was also encouraging projects prepared by the ambitious young people to create a generation of entrepreneurs that take responsibility to build a prosperous future.
Speaking on this occasion, Reem Al-Suwaidi, General Manager of Bedaya Center said: 'We are taking part for the first time at the 'Darb al Saai with the 'Dukan Bedaya initiative.
The very aim and objective of this initiative is to extend support to the small and medium-sized local businesses especially those established and being run by a group of aspiring and creative Qatari youth.
'The local businesses are being provided space to advertise and showcase their products at a strategic location, he elaborated. This would certainly help them flourish their businesses.
'We have always been keen to raise awareness about the local projects to help the Qatari youth establish and strengthen their projects in a way that facilitates a new generation of entrepreneurs in order to enable them to lay strong foundations for building a bright future in Qatar by relying on local industries and projects pertaining to small and medium-sized businesses, he further said.
