Kids get tips for success at Ooredoo's PSG event

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) As part of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)'s visit to Qatar, club partner Ooredoo held a winter edition of the ‘Paris Saint-Germain Academy brought to you by Ooredoo' on Thursday, before hosting an exclusive signing event at Mall of Qatar.
Founded in 2014, the ‘Paris Saint-Germain Academy brought to you by Ooredoo' initiative aims to encourage young people to get involved in sport and offers training and development opportunities for aspiring footballers, Ooredoo has said in a press statement.
More than 100 children aged 8-12 years took part in the clinic, which provided Qatari footballers with the chance to hone their skills and find out what it takes to be a champion under the guidance of PSG coach Unai Emery, assistant coach Zoumana Camara and young Paris Saint-Germain players, Giovanni Lo Celso and Christopher Nkunku.
Five Paris Saint-Germain players — Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti, Thomas Meunier and Kevin Trapp then made an appearance in front of hundreds of cheering fans at Mall of Qatar. They delighted their Qatari supporters by signing merchandise and greeting the crowds, the statement noted.
Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director of PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Qatar, said: 'We are delighted to offer fans the chance to meet and greet their champions in the heart of vibrant Doha. For over four years now, our partnership with Paris Saint-Germain has promoted sportsmanship and healthy living in Qatar, as well as encouraging young people to follow their dreams.
'We want to thank the players who took part in the Academy session, and thank everyone who came to Mall of Qatar to greet the players and show them a warm Qatar welcome.
