Two Turkish citizens detained in Jerusalem

Two citizens of Turkey were detained in Jerusalem, the Turkish media reported Dec. 23.

Reportedly, the citizens of Turkey participated in protests near the Al-Aqsa mosque after the evening prayers.

The media report that the detainees arrived in Jerusalem from Belgium and have dual citizenship - Belgian and Turkish.

Other details of the incident are not reported.

After recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by US President Donald Trump, protests have been staged in many countries.
