Ryanair's German pilots planned to strike


(MENAFN) German Ryanair pilots have declared going on strike for four hours on Friday, after "unsatisfactory negotiations" over union recognition.

According to the pilots' union, initial talks with the airline had been cancelled.

Impact also said that it had accepted an invitation from Ryanair to go to a meeting on Jan. 3rd to approve a "comprehensive recognition agreement that will establish collective bargaining procedures in the airline".

The airline has been dealing with strike action by pilots around Europe in the run-up to Christmas.

Thehead of Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) union said: "Ryanair's public offer to conduct negotiations with VC can only be classified as a further publicity stunt."
