Kuwait- Gulf 23 kicks off with superb inaugural ceremony
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 22 (KUNA) -- The Jaber International Stadium was on Friday the scene of a marvelous inaugural ceremony of the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 23" followed by the opening game of the football tournament between the Kuwaiti and the Saudi national teams.
The ceremony featured musical and artistic shows expressing the spirit of "one Gulf." The main show was themed "Our eternal Gulf," with nine songs that welcomed "brothers" from Arabian Gulf countries, each conveyed a gesture of a competing team.
A plethora of Kuwaiti top singers took part in the show that was followed by fireworks amid vibrant cries of joy from thousands of spectators at the venue.
The ceremony also offered a documentary on the Arabia Gulf Cup history since it took off in 1970. (Pick up previous) fs.tb.msa
