Uzbekistan, Russia eye to actively cooperation in fish farming

Uzbekistan plans to use Russian experience in fish farming and aquaculture production, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said on December 22.

Prospective projects of cooperation in this direction will be discussed during the meetings of the Russian Agriculture Ministry's delegation, which arrived in Tashkent on December 22.

The Russian delegation is headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Evgeny Gromyko.

New cooperation projects will be discussed within the framework of practical implementation of the Uzbek-Russian agreements at various levels, an action plan for further development of cooperation between the two countries in agriculture sphere.

The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia grew 14 percent and exceeded $2.6 billion for the seven months of 2017.

Presently, there are about 1,000 facilities with the participation of Russian capital in Uzbekistan, and representations of 60 Russian companies are accredited in Uzbekistan.
