Saudi, Russian leaders discuss relief efforts in Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Dec 21 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saudi on Thursday made a contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the phone conversation, they discussed relief efforts in Yemen in order to alleviate the humanitarian sufferings of Yemeni people, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Russian president denounced this week's missile launch by Yemen's Houthi militia, targeting Riyadh, and rejected any security threats to Saudi Arabia, it added.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Houthi militias had announced that it intercepted a missile fired over Riyadh on Tuesday. (end) ad.mt
