(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec. 21(Petra)- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi discussed with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov the latest Mideast developments, in light of the U.S. Administration's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

During a phone call Thursday, the two ministers highlighted ongoing efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis, along with the situation in the de-confliction zone in the northern Syria region and the humanitarian relief aid.

Discussions also touched on prospects of bilateral ties and ways to foster cooperation in the various domains.
