Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)- Doha Chapter recently bestowed Sundaresan Rajeswar, internal auditor, Teyseer Groupwith the coveted CA Dilip Thakker CA Professional Achiever Award 2017.
The award was instituted by the founding chairman of ICAI- Doha Chapter CA Dilip Thakker in 2014, to recognise Indian Chartered Accountant residing in Qatar for exceptional contribution in the Accounting/ Finance profession, to Industry, to the Profession and the Community at large.
The award aims to motivate CAs to aspire, to work and to contribute to becoming exemplary CA Professional Achievers. The awardee is decided after a rigorous nomination and scrutiny process by a five-member award committee consisting of past and current chairpersons of the chapter. This award was given away in a special function held during the fourth international conference held recently.
'This year's awardee is a shining example of a professional achiever and has a story that inspires. He came from very humble beginnings.... He is presently pursuing a Ph.D. with the subject of his dissertation being Internal Audit in a cultural perspective. said CA George Issac, who represented the award committee.
Rajeswar has been active in promoting the Accounting and Auditing profession in Qatar.
CA Amarjit Chopra, former President ICAI along with members of award committee consisting of M A Farid, Gopal Balasubramanium, Gaurav Kakkar, George Issac and Rupalakshmi Shetty presented the award plaque and gift to CA Sundaresan Rajeswar.
'The international conference on this scale and magnitude with an array of speakers, the line up of sponsors, local participation sets the momentum for advocating this profession, Rajeswar stated accepting the award.
Rajeswar thanked Teyseer Group management, his colleagues and family for support.
