Hyundai Mobis to develop car safety system
(MENAFN) Hyundai Mobis Co. declared it will develop a safety system by 2021 intended to avoid accidents led by drivers dozing off while driving.
The company plans to present the Departed Driver Rescue & Exit Maneuver (DDREM) technology that makes the vehicle pull over automatically and park itself, at the Consumer Electronic Show to be held in Las Vegas in January.
The safety system will also work if the driver suffers a heart attack or other conditions where they lose control of the vehicle.
According to the company, it has tested the technology at a proving ground in October and plans to execute the same test on roads next year.
