Video: Sheikh Hamdan thanks window cleaner in Dubai

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) There is hardly anyone who has driven down Sheikh Zayed Road and not taken a moment to admire the glistening buildings that adorn either side of the road.

Many of these buildings have glass facades which require round-the-clock maintenance to ensure they keep sparkling all the time.

And doing that job for us, silently, as they hang from harnesses, are the window cleaners.

When Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, saw one window cleaner dangling outside a building, wiping away soap, he immediately picked up his phone, recorded the video, and said "shukran" (thank you).

This gesture from the Crown Prince immediately went viral on social media.

The video has been viewed more than 90,000 times on Twitter.
