Afghanistan- Ghani Approves Resignation of Balkh Governor


(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL - The president has approved Balkh governor Atta Mohammad Noor's resignation and has appointed Engineer Mohammad Dawood as his successor.
President Ashraf Ghani, accepting Atta Mohammad Noor's resignation, has appointed Mohammad Dawood as new governor of northern Balkh province.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said that Noor had tendered his resignation. A leader of theJamiat-i-IslamiAfghanistan, he had been appointed as Balkh governor in 2004.
Eng. Mohammad Dawood, who also belongs to the Jamiat-i-Islami Afghanistan, was borne in 1954 in Balkh.
He completed his primary and higheducationin Balkh receiving higher oil and gas extraction education in England. (Pajhwok)
