(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A taxi driver was honoured by Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, for carrying a person of determination in his arms from his wheelchair and helping him sit in the car. The driver of Al Arabia Company Taxi on the spur of the moment displayed humanitarian gesture and also helped the person's mother put the wheelchair into the vehicle.
Al Tayer lauded the driver's kind move stating that his initiative comes in accordance with the principles of the Road Transport Authority (RTA) which strives to instill the same in its employees. He also stressed that this action inspires trust on the part of RTA customers towards the services provided by the Dubai government as well as encourages commuting via taxis.
The video posted on the RTA's Instagram account is garnering praises for the driver.
