National Bank of Kuwait to seek expansion in Saudi Arabia and Egypt
(MENAFN) It was reported that recruiting hundreds of employees along with opening branches in Egypt and Saudi Arabia is to be conducted by National Bank of Kuwait (NBK).
According to Bloomberg News, the Kuwaiti bank is to make an effort to achieve growth in major markets of the region through, among other methods, expansion into Riyadh and Dammam by opening new branches for both cities by the end of 2018.
During an interview with Bloomberg, CEO Isam Al-Sager stated "we started focusing our regional growth on more stable markets in the Middle East, namely GCC countries - Saudi Arabia and the UAE - in addition to Egypt." He further added "we have one operating branch in Saudi Arabia and just received required approvals to open two more branches in the Kingdom."
