Riyadh, Rabi'I 30, 1439, Dec 18, 2017, SPA -- Saudi Press Agency (SPA) commemorated here today the World Day of the Arabic Language, which falls on Dec. 18.
During a ceremony held to celebrate the occasion, at SPA Information Center, a working paper under the motto: A Glimpse, Outline on the Arabic Language and Challenges it Faces, which was presented by Dr. Saud Al-Jinaidil, in the presence of the President of SPA Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein.
The paper also spotlighted the history of the Arabic language, its evolution, knowledge related to it, in addition to the situation of the Arabic language, at the world arena and contemporary challenges.
He concluded by focusing on the interrelationship between the language and journalism, in particular, and the media, in general, especially on the domain of editing and writing arts, in order to deliver a message that cope with the significance of the discourse.
