Development projects in Bahrain declared by ADFD to be 90% complete

(MENAFN) Following an inspection visit, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) declared that at least 90 percent has been wrapped up of the nine development projects being executed at part of a $2.5 billion funding UAE presented to Bahrain.

The projects' advancement has been evaluated during the inspection visit as Bahraini officials were gathered with the delegation. The projects provide a number of infrastructure sectors counting healthcare, water, transportation and housing.

ADFD has allocated since its establishment in 1974 to twenty-six development projects located in Bahrain $2.86 billion.

ADFD Director General Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi said "ADFD and the Government of Bahrain enjoy long-standing and strong historic ties that date back over four decades. We have worked together to achieve the Kingdom's sustainable development goals across a broad spectrum of economic sectors."
