Jordan- King receives Canadian defense minister

Amman, Dec. 17 (Petra)--His Majesty King Abdullah II received at Al Husseiniya Palace on Sunday, visiting Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan.
During the meeting, the King and the Canadian minister discussed means to forge closer cooperation between the two countries in the military and security fields .
The meeting also deal with repercussions of the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and relocate the US embassy to the occupied city.
The King and Canadian minister also reviewed efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic strategy, and affirmed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to eradicate terrorism that threaten global peace and security.
The meeting was attended by the army chief, the Canadian ambassador in Amman and the delegation accompanying the Canadian minister.
