Khalfan Al Mahrazy appointed as president of Knowledge Oman


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Knowledge Oman, the leading community knowledge-sharing platform in the Sultanate, has named Khalfhan Said Nasser Al Mahrazy as the President of Knowledge Oman as part of its mission to promote talents and strengthen the platform operations with the various stakeholders that support community engagements and developments in the Sultanate.

Khalfan has over 12 years of leadership experience in telecommunication industry with diverse expertise on people management, project management, workforce management, and community initiatives allowing him to blend both technology and management to manage the operation of the platform. Khalfan is an MBA candidate from the Liverpool University and is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

He attended the regional International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) for the U.S Department of States where emerging leaders from the Middle East and North African region meet, discuss and exchange ideas pertaining to critical subjects that include society development and innovation.

He joined Knowledge Oman in 2008 as a member playing active role in the community engagement where he was promoted to lead a team of professional local and expat moderators and then later become its Vice President before leaving the platform in 2013. Khalfan is now back in Knowledge Oman as the President.

Reporting to the Founder and Chairman Tariq Al-Barwani, his responsibilities include leading the diverse team of professional local and expats living in the Sultanate along with the operations, projects, initiatives and partners that work together to create and introduce a blend of community programs that has benefit to the society.

'Promoting talents while ensuring they have all the resources they need to lead and flourish is what we love to do at Knowledge Oman. I have no doubt Khalfan will play a key role in meeting the platform's goals as well as build on the outstanding reputation and achievements gained for promoting valuable knowledge and programs that enrich the economy in the Sultanate' Tariq said.

'I'm honored to work with the entire team to create valuable and winning initiatives that provides vital and practical knowledge along with our partners and supports with the ultimate goal of improving the lives of people, businesses and the society as a whole' Khalfan said.

Knowledge Oman was awarded with the outstanding contribution to the cause of education at the World Human Resource Development (HRD) Congress 2012 for its contribution and impact generated in its mission of spreading and promoting knowledge across the sultanate.
