Qatari, Palestinian leaders mull over Mideast
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Dec 17 (KUNA) -- Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and visiting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday discussed the latest Palestinian developments, especially Jerusalem.
During the meeting, Abbas briefed the Qatari Amir on Palestinian moves at international organizations in response to the recent US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Sheikh Tamim reiterated Qatar's support to the Palestinian leadership and people regarding all necessary steps to protect Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Palestinian territories. (end) nnd.mt
