(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM, Dec 17 (KUNA) -- Sudan and Kuwait on Sunday signed a host of agreements for bilateral cooperation in the judicial domain.
The deals mainly aim at promoting judicial independence, boosting the skills of judges and exchanging expertise and personnel visits, Chairman of the Kuwaiti Supreme Judicial Council Yousef Al-Mutawaa said to KUNA.
Under the fresh deals, both sides will hold workshops on major judicial and legal issues and subjects, primarily money laundering, he added.
On his part, Sudan's chief judge Haider Dafallah said both sides had agreed on a timetable for carrying out joint programs for bilateral judicial cooperation for 2018.
He hailed the Kuwaiti chief judge's visit to Khartoum as reflecting the size of Arab judicial cooperation.
A Kuwaiti judicial delegation arrived in the Sudanese capital earlier on Saturday on a three-day visit intended to promote bilateral judicial cooperation. (end) mmm.mt
