Pakistan- Saudi women allowed to drive trucks, motorbikes


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 17 December: After allowing women to drive cars, the government in Saudi Arabia has allowed women to drive trucks and ride motorcycles.

According to a statement issued by Saudi Traffic Police, the women can also ride motorbikes and drive trucks. It said separate traffic training centres will be set up for women and women instructors will be appointed in these centres. The male and female drivers will be treated under the same law.

The Saudi government had for the first time allowed women to drive vehicles in September this year.
