Pakistan- Sikhs slam assistant commissioner for preaching Islam to them
(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) HANGU: Minority community of Hangu district on Saturday slammed the assistant commissioner for preaching Islam to them and staged a protest demonstration demanding his removal.
Leader of the community Fareed Singh alleged that a delegation led by him visited Assistant Commissioner Doaba Muhammad Ayub.
The delegation went to request him for security for their worship place but instead of paying heed to their demand he asked them to convert to Islam.
'It makes sense if a preacher or a common citizen preaches his religion but how can a government employee, instead of performing his duty, preach religion,' he asked while talking to Tribal News Network.
He said that he has complained to the deputy commissioner against the AC. DC Shahid Mehmud said that inquiry has been ordered and action would be taken if found guilty.
