Kuwait- European woman flouting ban caught on entry


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Personnel from the Residence Affairs Investigations Department have arrested a European woman of Arab origin for entering the country on a new passport because she had been deported and an entry ban was slapped on her, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, she was arrested after security personnel at the airport suspected her and referred her to the Criminal Evidences Department for fingerprinting. The report showed she had been deported more than once and each time she managed to enter the country on a new passport.

Trio doing drugs: Three people who stopped their car in the middle of the road to consume illicit drugs were arrested by Farwaniya securitymen. A sachet of illicit drugs was seized from their possession before referring them to the public prosecution, says Al- Seyassah. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti man born in 1985 wanted for numerous financial violations was arrested with seven sticks of cigarette stuffed with hashish. He was referred for prosecution. In another incident, security operatives nailed a motorist for driving under the influence of liquor after he rammed into an electricity pole at the Rabiya- Rehab axis. The suspect has since been referred to the concerned authority.

Women harassed: The Hawally police have arrested a Kuwaiti for consuming drugs and harassing women in the parking lot of the Jabriya Cooperative Society, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspect reportedly went to the car and opened the doors and behaved in an immoral way. Police rushed to the area after several women complained to the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry and arrested the 'eve-teaser'.
