Kuwait- His Highness PM vows successful Gulf 23


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said Friday Kuwait is doing its utmost to ensure the success of the Gulf football cup (Gulf 23) due in Kuwait between December 22 and January 5.

His Highness the Prime Minister made the remark in a phone call from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee Anas Al-Saleh.

During the phone conversation, His Highness the Prime Minister inquired about preparations and arrangements for the championship, emphasizing that all relevant obstacles should be wiped out.

His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak called for exerting all necessary efforts in order to ensure a successful Gulf championship, voicing full confidence in the organizing committee.

His Highness the Prime Minister also received calls from Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee Khaled Al-Roudhan and Chairman of the Kuwait Football Association Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef.

The Gulf football cup "Gulf 23" attracts the football teams of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Yemen and Kuwait. (end) mt
