Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith holds talks with Gnanasara Thera
Gnanasara Thera said that the Cardinal had in recent times made very important public statements.
The BBS thanked the Cardinal for a statement he had made discouraging holding tuition classes on Sundays and Poya days.
Gnanasara Thera said that a proposal was also made by the BBS for broad discussions to be held with the Catholic Church on issues related to religions in Sri Lanka.
The controversial monk said that the Cardinal agreed to consider the proposal and take appropriate steps. (Colombo Gazette)
