Heavy congestion on Sheikh Zayed Road: Dubai Police

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Heavy congestion was reported on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi from Dubai on Wednesday morning, Dubai Police said.

"Traffic jam has been reported on the Sheikh Zayed Road at the entrance of the Trade Centre tunnel towards Abu Dhabi," the police said on its official Twitter handle.

They advised motorists to take caution and take alternative routes.

Meanwhile in Abu Dhabi, motorist faced heavy delays due to an accident on Sheikh Zayed Street after Ministries complex underpass inbound towards the city.

Drivers can expect delays by the E44Al Awir Road near Academic City and International City towards Dubai.

In Sharjah, motorists traveling on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from the National Paints roundabout to Mirdif City Centre towards Dubai were caught in long queues. Congestion was also reported in on Dubai Airport Road, Al Wahda street, Mirdif and Al Nahda towards Dubai.
