Sayyid Asaad arrives in Turkey to participate in OIC summit


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- As delegated by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, an Omani delegation led by Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan arrived in Turkey on Tuesday to take part in the Extraordinary Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The summit is scheduled to be held in Istanbul on Wednesday.

The delegation comprises Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Minister of Justice, Sheikh Mohammed bin Said bin Saif al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development and Dr Qasim bin Mohammed al Salhi, Oman's Ambassador to Turkey.

Also accompanying Sayyid Asaad are Sayyid Dr Ahmed bin Hilal al Busaidi, Oman's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and its Permanent Delegate to OIC, Khalifa bin Hamad al Badi and Saif bin Ahmed al Sawafi, advisors in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, Sheikh Salim bin Suhail al Mashani, head of the International Organisations Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and Mohammed bin Nasser al Wahaibi, head of the GCC Department in MoFA.
