Two Palestinians killed, 21 others wounded in clashes with Israeli forces


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- At least two Palestinian people were killed and 21 others wounded in Gaza and West Bank on Tuesday in clashes with the Israeli security forces.

In Gaza, two people were killed and 16 others injured when Israeli forces fired rubber-coated bullets and tear gas bombs on people protesting against US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city.

All the victims fell in the clashes in near the northern and eastern borders of the Gaza Strip, Ashraf Al-Qidra, spokesman for Palestine's Health Ministry, said in a press statement.

In Ramallah, five Palestinian people were wounded during the clashes with Israeli forces in Tulkarm. Three were people were hit by rubber-coated rounds and two others suffered suffocation from tear gas inhalation, the ministry added.

Near Bethlehem, some young people were suffocated from tear gas fired by Israeli forces there. (end) nq.wab.sa.hm
