(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Shotokan Karate Centre recently successfully concluded a karate tournament at the Ahli-Sidab Club.
Nearly 120 participants took part in the tournament held in kata and kumite categories.
Marwan al Juma, the chairman of the Ahli-Sidab Club, and Mohammed al Alawi, the club manager, presided over the event. The chairman of the Shotokan Karate Centre, Navas Mokeri, expressed delight at the success of the tournament and said that the "competition was of high standard".
Meanwhile, chief instructor Yousuf al Siyabi said that the fourth Ahli-Sidab Championship will be held in April, which will witness participation of nearly 300 players.
