S.Korea aims for 260,000 new ICT jobs

(MENAFN) South Korea intends to create 26,000 job opportunities in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector within the next five years.

The government will create the jobs by amending appropriate policies and employing the latest technologies, as the roadmap crafted has said.

To able to achieve this, the ministry will first establish models by 2020 to forecast how the fast-paced transformations of the "fourth industrial revolution" would alter future jobs.

According to the ministry, the revolution will completely change the economic landscape, and the nature of jobs, which will require policymakers to go through challenges in the development of human resources and job creation.
