Kuwait- Fake coffee products for sale

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: The Misdemeanor Court presided over by Judge Al-Duwaihi Al-Duwaihi ordered a man to pay fine worth KD 500 for putting up for sale counterfeit famous branded coffee products, says Al-Seyassah.

The Public Prosecution had charged the suspect of deceiving contracting parties last year by producing counterfeit coffee products that carry a famous and registered trademark of a Kuwaiti coffee company.

During the court session, the counsel to the Kuwaiti coffee company Lawyer Mohammed Khalil Al-Qattan affirmed that the owner of the trademark is the one who registers a product which no one has, adding that those who knowingly sell or put up for sale a product that has a fake trademark has committed a crime.
