The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will support Iraq in all spheres, OIC Secretary-General Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen said at the meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Eshaiker al-Jaafari in Baghdad, OIC told Trend Dec. 11.
Al-Othaimeen added that OIC supports Iraq's territorial integrity and welcomes its victory over terrorist organizations in the country.
Earlier, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi said that Iraq's army fully liberated the country from the Islamic State (IS) militants and congratulated the Iraqi people on their victory.
"We defeated the IS because of unity and readiness for self-sacrifice,' he said. 'Long live Iraq and its inhabitants."
